Polymer binder for fixing pigments to textiles - emulsion or dispersion contains salt of sulphonated oleic acid dibutyl amine

A polymeric emulsion or dispersion, used as a binder for fixing pigments onto fibrous webs which may be hardened to a water insoluble coating and opt. contains pigments and/or hardeners and/or other additives, contains 0.5-30 wt. % (w. r. t. polymer solids content) salt of sulphonated oleic acid dibutylamide (I). The emulsion or dispersion may be used as printing pastes for textiles e.g. wool, silk, polyester, polyamide, PVC fibres etc., glass or asbestos fibres, paper and all types of films. The binder does not foul up appts. and the thin films which do form are easily washed away with water. Prints show good evenness and migration during drying is inhibited due to (I).
