Photographic enlarger colour mixer head - uses microprism scan discs for max. colour homogeneity and min. white light absorption

A colour mixing chamber is incorporated into the colour mixing head of a photographic enlarger. It is constructed so that maximum homogeneity of the mixed light in the mixing chamber (7) can be achieved. This chamber (7) has at least two micro-prism raster or scan disc (8a, 8b) mounted within it. The microprism scan discs (8a, b) are situated in sequence behind a light scattering disc (9) in the ray path of light passing through the colour mixing chamber (7). These discs may be constructed from ruled glass sections. This arrangement takes advantage of direct lighting power while offering enough diffusion to minimise effects of minor film scratches and specks of dust.
