Veneer jointing into continuous ready-glued cut strips - uses heat proof glue on keyed toothed profiles cut by metal ribbon

The veneer layer joints are made with heat-proof glue and have all sharp corners rounded. These more rounded joints can be cut by the pressure of a tool whose cutting edge is provided by a flexible steel ribbon, bent to the required joint profile shape. After being joined (with heat-proof glue), the strips of veneer are smoothed, polished, glued on the reverse side (with re-meltable glue) and cut to length, ready for use. The jointed teeth have head tabs which act as keys, locking the joint sections together.
