A coil winding machine is for use with toroidal cores with an external toothed rim. The coils are normally intended for colour television deflection circuits and the windings are subject to very stringent specifications. The machine consists of a frame with a wire supply reel. There is a toothed gear wheel for driving the core, and the drive mechanisms for the wire supply. There is a drive mechanism for the cores and the feed system is mounted on a set of hollow pillars.
