(Urinary) bladder catheter - having a cowula on an injection syringe with a valved flexible extension tube

In a catheter, partic. for the (urinary) blader, consisting of a canula, having an elastic tube placed on an end or forming a continuation thereof, and turned outside-in within the interior, as well as being capable of being turned back again by hydraulic action, a valve is provided at the free end of the tube opening automatically on turning back again. Pref. the valve is constructed by a sloping cut at one end of an originally closed tube end turned outside-in, in the direction of the tube axis. The tube acting as catheter can be thrown away after being used once, is less unpleasant for the patient during insertion, and the consequential phenomena of inflammation during the subsequent emptying of the bladder no longer occurs.
