Windscreen wiper blade with improved cleaning - using clip-on absorbent sleeve over blade and soaked by washer fluid

The windscreen wiper blade is fitted with a clip-on sleeve (4) of absorbent material which is held on the blade by clips (5) over the rear of the blade. The material is soaked in washer jets, and removes larger dirt particles, over which the conventional wiper blade would ride. The sleeve is replaceable when worn or dirty. It is simple to produce and can be used on all types of vehicles. For improved effect the wiper blade assembly is doubled, with a conventional rubber blade following the pad, to remove smears.
