The centrifuge consists of a supply line (1) for the abrasive material which supplies the material to a stationary control shell (2) which is open at one end and has a slot (20) through which the abrasive is slung by an accelerator wheel (3) which is mounted inside the shell. The accelerator wheel is connected to the drive shaft (5) of the centrifuge wheel (4). This wheel consists of a disc (11) on which sheet metal vanes are mounted. The vanes are made up of two triangles. The first right-angles triangle is mounted directly on the disc, with the short side of the triangle parallel to the centreline of rotation of the wheel. The second triangle is mounted on the hypotenuse of the first triangle with its apex pointing in the direction of rotation.
