In the parent patent yarn tow is dyed at fast rate in appts. including an endless belt having an upwardly inclined run to support the yarn tow being dyed in downwardly inclined pipe forming also yarn feed. In this addn. yarn dyed in the pipes during passage there through is subjected to treatment by steam prior to re-entering the pipe at inlet opening. Intensity of dyeing is increased and time interval reduced.
