Scale for vertical jump heights - has height adjustable striker board with micro-switches connected to electronic indicator

The device is for measuring vertical jump heights and consists of a striker board connected to an electronic indicator. The striker board is provided with a given number of contacts to microswitches at 1 cm. intervals up the board, which is covered by a layer of plastic foil. These microswitches are connected to an electronic indicator so that when the board is struck, the highest switch is recorded by the indicator. The board is raised or lowered to compensate for the height of the user. The user stands with arms stretched upwards and strikes the board to get an initial reading on the indicator. The indicator is then reset, and the user springs up and hits the board again to give a second reading. By subtracting the first reading from the second the jump height can be calculated.
