Direction finder aerial system - is for horizontally and vertically polarised waves using Adcock array with support arm as folding dipoles

A direction finder aerial, can simultaneously detect vertically and horizontally polarised waves. The waveband in the horizontal and the vertical plane are equally wide. The system uses the H Adcock array, with the Adcock halves consisting of two parallel dipoles (5) linked by cross arms (4). The cross arms are attached to the aerial head (1) by means of support arms (2, 3). The aerial head is formed by a fixed tube (6). The support arms of the individual Adcock system are each shaped like a folding dipole and form the parallel connected rods to the conductor fed rod of the folding dipole.
