The equipment is for the handling and dumping of large skips equipped with supporting trunnions, and comprises a lifting spreader spanning the skip and supports engaging with the trunnions on both sides of it. A hand- or motor driven shaft is mounted below the spreader, its ends being coupled either direct or via chains to tilting seesaw-type beams. These support the skip in such a manner as to allow dumping of the contents from it. The skip supports can be linked to the free ends of the beams at points the same distance apart as the skip trunnions. Thus a parallelogram linkage is formed, tipping the skip about its centre of gravity.
