A processing circuit is used in connection with a signal processing or transfer system(s) to produce a linear transfer characteristic over the whole system. The circuit consists of a feedback amplifier (1) arrangement using negative (3) and positive (2) feedback. The negative feedback circuit (3) has a transfer characteristic (T2) corresp. to that (T1) of the compensated system (S). The product of the amplitude transfer factor (A) of the positive feedback circuit (2) and the gain (V) of the amplifier (1) is approximately unity. A low gain amplifier may be used, thus ensuring linearity over a large frequency range.
