Gas tightness test appts. for large surfaces - has two chamber parts with test piece clamped between flanges

The test piece is clamped between two flanges of two chamber parts. A test gas is fed through the first chamber part along the test piece, and possible penetration of gas into the second chamber part is measured. The method is esp. used for testing safety valves in packaging containers. Before testing a gas different from the test gas is fed into the second chamber part, and after a certain waiting time composition of gas mixture, or its change in the second chamber part is measured.
