The seal testing appts. includes a pressure sensor (49) which establishes the rise in pressure in the second chamber (34). The first chamber (33) is formed by the specimen (10) under test and at least one first cover (25). The second chamber (34) is formed by the specimen (10) and at least one second cover. A first seal (28) is provided at the first cover (25) for contact at the specimen (10). A second seal (32) is provided at the second cover (26) for contact at the specimen (10). Each chamber (33, 34) is sealed against the atmosphere, by the respective seal (28, 32). ADVANTAGE - Allows exact testing of components in relatively short time.
