The accumulator splash protector covers a large area of the surface of the electrolyte, whose kinetic energy it absorbs. The protector chambers (5) have a rectangular cross section. The splash protector consists of an upper (12) and a lower (11) section with the chambers displaced. The vertical partitions between the splash protectors (1, 2) are linked by fixing pins. Dividing each cell into a large number of chambers reduces the kinetic energy of the electrolyte occupying each of the chambers. The electrolyte in the various chambers is held together by capillary action.
