Lottery ticket checking unit - displays result of check on screen and gives printed output from electronic comparison reader

The lottery or betting ticket checking unit is used for punched lottery tickets carrying coded lottery information. Each ticket is inserted through a slot, so that the coded information can be scanned by a reader for electronic comparison with the results of the lottery, held in a store. The results of the check are displayed on a screen and are also provided to a printer for providing a print-out of the results. Pref. the coded information read from the ticket is erased from the reader after supplying it to the comparator and the ticket is then pref. cancelled. The ticket may be made of paprt or plastics and printed instructions may be provided next to the punched zone representing the lottery information.
