The bathing cap is provided with a flexible seal which fits flat round the head. The actual hood is kept at a distance away from the hair by adjustable spacer arms. The lightweight water-tight cap whilst providing protection from the water does not flatten a woman's hair style. The seal can be provided with a draw-string which fits in a channel and can be drawn up round the head to provide a perfect fit.
