The unit consists of a panel-shaped element with water flowing through it, for absorbing solar energy. It is adjustable in two directions, for maximum exposure to the sun, and has automatic adjustment relative to the sun. The element is connected to a heat pump, a cold water- and a hot water consumer cycle, and a hot water store. The heat pump is for the immediate removal of any solar energy gained, and for feeding it into a cycle with a hot water storage. The element may be directly charged with a cooling medium, so that the cold water cycle is superfluous.
