The roll-up solar energy heat cover is for use on a swimming-pool or water tank. IT consists of buoyant double-walled profiles which can be unrolled onto the water surface, and which permit the passage of light and wun rays. The profiles may be fitted with a deep black layer, of highly heat conductive material, on the underside and led by a sliding device below the water surface. The rolling and unrolling mechanism may be mounted above or below the surface of the water, and it can be provided with a self-locking drive, manually or electrically operated.
