Resilient protective glove for karate training etc. - encloses back of hand, wrist and fingers whilst allowing stretching and clenching of fists

The protective glove, for karate training etc, is made of a resilient material with a tight outer cover e.g. of plastics which covers the back and side of the wearer's hand, the back of the thumb and most of the wrist. The glove can be detachably fastened to the hand by straps (34) which can be readily slipped round the thumb and fingers. The rear part of the glove extends up the arm to just below the elbow and can enclose the arm in a cylinder whilst the wrist section only partly encloses the wrist and is open to the front. The glove allows the user to act with his fingers stretched out or clenched, whilst still providing adequate protection.
