Interference shields located between electrical coupling sockets mounted on a common plate, prevents interaction between different frequency carrier signals in information processing systems. The plug in couplings (3) have a threaded projection of one end that passes through a hole in a base plate (4). A nut locates on the projection to clamp the coupling securely to the base. Located between coupling and base is a flat rectangular plate with turned over edges (1). The spacing between couplings is such that interference shields (5, 6) are readily held by the spring action edges of the sud plates (1).
