Coalface infusion probe comprises a reinforced sleeve which has limited radial expansion and ejection orifices at the tip end. The tip is designed as a rubber cap (3) integrated with the sleeve (1), and with orifices (6, 7) inclined to the rear in relation to the radial plane. The orifices should be evenly distributed round the cap and should run at an angle of 45 deg. to the axis of the sleeve. The fabric reinforcement in the sleeve should extend into the cap area and the cap should have s Shore hardness of more than 70 deg.
