Device for dressing grinding discs with a dressing diamond which is passed around an axis of rotation where the dressing diamond (22) can be selectively passed about a further axis of rotation which is transposed with respect to the first axis (2) within a common plane. Specifically components such as shafts (80, 12) and arms (64) can be turned about the individual axes (2, 10) each of which (12, 64) is supported on the others (80, 12). The dimensions are so chosen that the slopes for all dressing profiles are small and are partially below (+-) 5 deg. The displacement or slope of the rotatable components (12, 64) can be adjusted by a set screw (84, 70) which opposes a spring force.
