Lithium, magnesium and fluorine, and silicon cpd. or germanium cpd. are combined, to give molar ratio compsn. corresponding to lithium-teniolite or germanium-theolite. This is heated to melting to coordinate lithium between layers to give mica of compsn. LiMg2Li (X4O10)F2 (X is Si or Ge). In this synthesized product, mica is hydrated up to hydrated water or free water, to give a suspension of mica. Where foiling technique of reconstituted mica is used, it is possible to obtain uniform thickness foil as well as to increase foil-making speed, and give improved strength and flexibility. Prod. is used for electrical insulating material, heat resistant cloth, coating vehicle, paper making material, non-inflammable building material, etc. after compounding with various types of powder.
