Fitting of door frame into wall - uses plastic foam adhesive to fill gaps between door frame and wall

The door frame (1) is placed in the opening (2) in the wall with a small gap between the door frame and the wall. The door frame is temporarily supported by the post (6) and cross members (4, 5). Plastic foam is supplied in a container which is in the form of a long soft metal tube (3). The tube is fitted into the gap between the wall and door frame. The sides of the tube (3) can be torn open by suitably attached tags. The plastic foam, which is also an adhesive, flows out of the tube and completely fills the gap between door-frame and wall. This method of installing a doorframe can be done by unskilled labour and so reduces building costs.
