The wire cutters are for use during the wiring of electrical switch gear and/or electrical machines, or electrical appliances. A pair of crosswise connected hinged plier sections are formed as plier handles at one end, and as jaws at the other end. The jaws have opposite cooperating cutting edges. The free ends of the jaws (5) have an angled-off section (7). The tips of these sections are formed as gripping jaws (8), and have connected cutting jaws (9). The cutting jaws are small, for the cutting of single wires (10). the other cutting blades are of a size suitable for the cutting of wire bundles, or thick individual wires.
