Grips for removing corks from champagne bottles - has serrated gripping surfaces inside jaws with cutters for wire and clips for stripping foil

The grips are used for uncorking champagne bottles, and removing the outer foil covering and cutting the wires holding the cork. It comprises two sets of jaws (1, 2) joined by a pivot (3). Between this and the handles are two cutouts (9), one in each set of jaws, provided with serrated surfaces for gripping the cork. The nose portion of the grips forms a pair of cutters (4, 5) for cutting the cork wires. Behind each cutout is one half of a pair of clips (6, 7). These have sharpened edges for stripping foil and also act as stops for the grips when positioning these over the cork.
