Air bubble massager with bubble mat for bath - has moisture sensitive resistor in control circuit to cut off mains supply

The air bubble massager comprises a housing (20) containing functional units e.g. fan, heater, etc. and an air tube (15) via which compressed air is supplied to a bubble mat placed in the bath tub. In the housing is a sensor which responds to entry of moisture via the air tube and which controls an auxiliary control device (10) mounted outside the housing for completely interrupting mains supply to the housing. The auxiliary control device and main plug (11) may be combined in a single unit. The sensor may consist of a resistor of which the resistance depends on the degree of moisture in its environment, pref. two spaced metal strips mounted on an insulating support in a connector (24) between the housing and air tube and connected by a control wire (12) to the auxiliary control device. The control wire may be separate from the mains supply wire (13) but contained in the same sheath.
