An axial piston pump for supplying pressurised lubrication oil to a distributing head has a cylindrical body (3) attached to the distributing head (30) which rotates on its convex surface. The cylinder body contains pistons (1) with piston rods (2) protruding from the body fitted with spherical concave surfaces (22) which swivel on corresponding hollow convex surfaces (4). The drive to rotate the cylinder body is from a shaft with a flanged end which carries a ball joint (6) fitted in a tapped hole (18). A spring loaded bushing (7) fitted in the centre of the cylinder body provides, together with the joint (4) the point on which the cylinder body swivels during the rotation enforcing stroke movements on the pistons.
