The solar radiation simulator for studying the effects on architects models comprises a flat circular platform (8) on a pedestal (10), the model being placed at the centre of the platform. A source of illumination (5) is placed at the focus of a parabolic reflector (6) which produces ther therefrom a parallel light beam. Circular are supports (1, 2, 3) carry the illumination source and are rotatable and adjustable so that the position and angle of the reflector may be varied to simulate various positions of the sun in illuminating the building, which is placed on the circular platform (8) in its correct geographical aspect relative to the points of the compass.
