The boring tool serves for accurate machining of through openings where high surface finish and accuracy to dimensions are required. It consists of a body (1) with longitudinal recesses and a centering plate (2). The plates have precision ground-surfaces as well as bearing surfaces on which rough cutting blades (4) and finishing cutting blades (5) are fitted. The centering plates (2) can be designed to accommodate either a set of rough cutting blades (4) or combination of sets of rough cutting blades and finishing cutting blades (5).
