The tool has jaws (1, 2) with a slot blade (16) provided opposite to blades (14, 15) at a hinge axle (3). The blade resides in a guide cavity (19) that lies diagonal to a hollow body. Longitudinal edges (11, 12) close the hollow body and are inserted into recesses (17, 18) for guiding a cable for longitudinal slots through the hollow body by the guide cavity at the slot blade and the recesses with a closed tool. The radius of the guide cavity is approximately 5 mm. The slot blade projects from the guide cavity for a length of approximately 1 mm.
