Hydrogenation of aromatic nitro cpds. - using catalyst contg. iridium and boron on an inert carrier

The hydrogenation takes place at 0-80 degrees C and 1-50 atmos. The catalyst pref. contains 0.5-20% Ir and 0.002-0.45% B, and can be used under mild conditions to give quantitative yields of amines. Esp. for hydrogenation of alkoxynitrobenzenes and halonitrobenzenes.
