A flexible plastic pipe comprises inner and outer pref. plastic coils which are arranged such that the turns of one coil interleave with the turns of the other coil and between which are sandwiched a plastic layer (e.g. nylon polypropylene, polyester, cellulose, fluorocarbo, tube or tape) forming a flexible tube and a reinforcing layer comprising a number of parallel filaments (e.g. nylon) supported in a non-woven (e.g. polymeric) matrix. Pref. the plastic layer and reinforcing layer are slideable with respect to each other, and pref. the thickness of the plastic layer in less than 0.25 mm. the pipe has improved strength and flexibility.
