Title compsn. comprises a condensation prod. of a polyol and/or bisphenol A with epichlorhydrin, and an aliphatic Schiff's base of general formula (I): (n is 3-11), the proportion of the Schiff's base being 15-40 mol.% (based on no. of epoxy gps. in the epoxy resin). The ring in the Schiff's base opens in the presence of water, forming highly reactive amine gp., which crosslinks the resin.
