A sterilisation system of a gas stream, for an appts. such as a form fill seal machine, raises the temp of the gas after filtration and retains the gas at a predetermined min. temp. for a predetermined min. period. The cross-section of the temp. holding device is designed greater than that of the heater or of the connecting pipe so that the flow rate is decreased proportionally. This provides an entirely sterilised system to provide a low-pressure gas to a cowl for the film feed and a high-pressure gas for the moulding press to form the film to a container.
