The hinge assembly comprises a first part having a recess arranged to form a part of basically U-shape, a bore passing through one arm of the U-shape and into the other arm, a second part dimensioned to be accommodated within the recess and having a bore aligning with that in the first part and a pin located in the aligned bores. The second part is provided with a spigot extending outwardly at approximately right angles to the second part.
