Package for displaying cut flowers - has transparent plastic envelope with water holding base

The envelope (1) is a sheet of transparent plastic, with sides converging from a wide upper part down to the base, this being water-tight and provided with a reinforcing rim (3). Inside this base is an outer ring of natural moss (5), around a core of plastic foam (6). This is impregnated with water containing an additive to prolong bloom life ad receives the stems of the flowers. The upper part of the envelope is bulbous, to accommodate the flower heads, and provided with four equally spaced extensions (2) around the top. The packaging is closed by clipping (3) these extensions together, forming a protective hood and ventilation gaps (4).
