Simplified screw thread cutting machine - sliding and rotating shaft arrangement, stepping motor and radial tools

A screw thread cutting machine (1) for long workpieces (31) and magazine workpiece feeding, has a frame mounted rotating and sliding shaft (3) driven by a stepping motor (4). The machine also has radial tool (66) bearers (6), each constituting a mobile cutting tool bearing carriage with recoil retraction, and having a control module comprising a stage motor guiding a screw die which acts on a carriage abutment piston. Preferably, there is a similarly furnished terminal tool bearer supported on a table (8), moving at right angles to the tool bearing chariot, driven by a stepping motor. Each tool carriage has an axially adjustable piston stop with micrometer.
