The bowl operates at high pressure to sort various items and has a lower frame with, at the top, a roller track supporting the bowl proper, and the bowl can be driven round if necessary. The bowl base is perforated to allow the dust-laden air to pass through concentric filters mounted round a high-pressure fan in the lower frame. This delivers the filtered air to the bottom or sides of the bowl or both.
