Combination butchery conveyor for large and small carcases - esp. for small abattoirs, no need for separate tracks (NL280476)

A combination butchery track for handling in sequence beasts of different sizes, has a single hanging conveyor on which the carcases suspended by hooks are progressed through the butcher stations, with the hooks spread at different spacings. Along the track gps. (A to E) of carrier levers may be spaced out relatively to the size of the carcases. Lever swings clear of the hooks whilst lever is controlled so as to engage with them or to swing clear of them. For processing sequences of one bovine followed by two porcine carcases, partic. legs are assigned to partic. carrier levers and preselected posns. as follows:-to a lever at a posn. (A) a first leg of a first small beast; to a second lever at a posn. (B) a first leg of a large beast to a freely swinging lever at a posn. (C) a second leg of a first small beast; to a third lever at a posn. (D)a first leg of a second small beast; and to a second lever at a posn. (E) both the second leg of the large carcase and the second leg of the second small beast. When the gp. (A to E) of levers is moving two small carcases, the lever at the corresp. posn. (B) is swung out of action. No necessity for a number of separate tracks. One combination track can be used for cattle and pigs as well as for smaller animals.
