Arrangement for regulating the size of air or gas bubbles introduced into a moving liq. to be purified comprises orifices for introducing the air or gas, of which the ends are immersed in the liq. stream and can be varied with respect to their angle of inclination relative to the path of the liq. stream. Pref. the orifices are formed in tubes of straight cross-section which can be inclined relative to the liq. stream and fixed in posn. and of which the immersed ends extend obliquely. The pipe which conveys the liq. is pref. produced by casting, and the orifices comprise bosses which are inclined relative to the liq. stream.
