Data transmission and reception system - translates data from diverse equipments into common language and uses separate data and command wires

The data transmission system may be used in an aircraft and it transmits data between a wide variety of different equipments using a common data language. Each piece of equipment may have a coupling unit tailored to its particular requirements, so that data input into the system is translated into the common language. Standard coupling units which are identical to each other are used to connect the individual coupling units with the data transmission system. Logic devices control emission and reception of messages passing through the system, and separate lines (LD, LP) are used for transmission of data and control information.
