The machine for use in grape harvesting consists of a self-propelled or towed frame (1) bearing a container (6) supported on a pantograph (14) which is adjustable for height. The whole machine can be adjusted so that it remains upright on rough ground by means of a jack acting through a set of levers. The harvesting assembly (41) comprises two supports frames (42) attached to containers (6) and two receiver-conveyors (47) for the harvested fruit, with a gap between them for the passage of the vine stems. The operators take up positions on either side of this gap, the inboard operators having seats (51) while those facing them outside the machine stand. Divider panels (48) are provided between the work areas, and fruit from conveyors (47) is channelled into a bucket elevator which transfers it to the container (6).
