1496997 Moulding tyres POLYAIR MASCHINENBAU GmbH 15 April 1976 [21 April 1975] 15681/76 Heading B5A A tyre casting or injection mould composed of separable parts 1, 2 and radially movable parts 3, 4 has a torodial core peripherally divided into an even number of alternating segments 6, 7; the sides of segments 7 converge towards the mould axis whereas the sides of segments 6 are parallel or diverge towards the axis. The parts 1, 2 and the segments have mating formations, e.g. pins 15 and bores 16, or arcuate webs 11, 12 and grooves 13, 14, whereby the segments are firmly held when the mould is closed.
