1507647 Moulding tyres POLYAIR MASCHINENBAU GmbH 7 Sept 1976 [15 Sept 1975] 37044/76 Heading B5A An injection mould for a tyre comprises an outer shell composed of separable parts 1-3 and a core 5 providing a mould cavity 4 fed with moulding material by a supply passage 10 communicating with a gap 9 and an annular indentation 7 both extending around the cavity. A flexible hose 8 within the indentation is supplied with pressure medium to close the gap after suplying the mould cavity whereby pressure is applied to the moulding material. A further annular indentation 11 closed by a diaphragm 15 may be provided adjacent the tyre bead area for supplying a circular gap 13.
