The television receiver has its circuit modules each provided with light-emitting elements to indicate faults in the module and what those faults might be. The rear (1) of the television receiver is provided with a series of holes (4) to allow these light-emitting elements to be visible from outside the housing. The light-emitting elements can be mounted behind or through the holes (one to each hole) or on a common support. The service engineer can therefore see at a glance which circuit modules are faulty and need replacing.
