The component (1) has a housing (2) with a brake rear light (3). Functional elements i.e. lighting components such as outside light (6) and direction indicator light, are arranged in a rear region of a motor vehicle within the housing, where the brake rear light and functional elements form a construction unit i.e. electrical unit. The housing is formed as a spoiler element for a roof member provided within the rear region, where the spoiler element is formed as a part of a motor vehicle roof (7).
