Out of sync film editing method - synchronises sound and picture then displaces them out of sync. again after completion of editing

A film editing system is for film with its round and image tracks, out of synchronism. The image and round recordings are displaced so as to synchronise them, and editing then follows in known fashion as for a silent film. Afterwards the synchronised recording sounds are shifted out of synchronism with respect to the image. The sound recordings are displaced to another part of the same sound track, or to another track on the film, the sounds being displaced whilst running the film through a recorded sound reading unit (T1, T2), an erasing unit (T3) and a sound recording unit (T1, T2). Whilst the film is being run through these units, a film path is established between the reading and recording units, corresponding to the sound image shift. A transfer liaison is also established with the recording unit for the sounds read at the reading unit.
