The fault indicator is used for vehicle trafficator lights (13), which are connected to the supply voltage via a switch (10) with a control system for closing the switch (10) and for opening it periodically, so that the lights (13) are illuminated intermittently. The fault indicator circuit has means for providing a voltage (U1) dependent on the position of the switch (10) and the functioning of the trafficator lights (13). This voltage is supplied to a comparison transistor (20), also receiving a reference voltage (U2) from a voltage generator. The comparator (20) supplies an output signal to an indicator lamp (24) which is intermittent when the switch (10) and the trafficator lights (13) are functioning correctly, but continuous when a fault is detected.
